AL JOOD NATURAL RESOURCES L.L.C is mining Manganese Ore in the Sultanate. The Concession area is around 3.0 sq. km near AI Qabil, Ibra (sharqiya Region).
Exploration programme was carried out and the reserve has been estimated as more than 1,000,000 MT of silica rich, low grade lumpy manganese ore. This Omani origin manganese ore is best suited for the Silico-manganese plants/Ferroally plants for blending with the high grade Mn ore.
Low grade manganese is also found in abundance and this has led to the proposal of setting up a beneficiation plant in the Sultanate. The Company started its mining operations in 2013. We are producing & exporting manganese ore from 16% to 24% Mn content. Mn ore is exported using 20 feet containers.
